Boxing remains one of the best-loved sports in the Autonomous Region of Bougainville - an island once plagued with unrest. 

To rediscover the experience and comradery with each other through boxing is just one step closer to unity and peace, taking Bougainville once more and placing her back on the world map. The Bougainville Pro-Boxing Tournament may herald new beginnings, but it also brings a more immediate response to much needed development.
